Michael is a senior financial services lawyer and corporate adviser with more than 35 years’ experience in senior strategic and leadership roles across major Australian and global financial institutions.
His expertise spans estate planning and administration, trusts, corporate governance, risk, compliance, regulatory change, custody, philanthropy, mergers and acquisitions, and business transformation.
Michael advises high-net-worth individuals, financial institutions and private corporate trustees, with particular experience in complex estate planning, estate administration and litigation. He takes a proactive approach to identifying and managing potential family, succession, taxation and business risks.
A member of Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), Michael has contributed to the Financial Services Council’s Estate Planning and Administration Working Group and the Victorian Law Reform Commission’s succession law review. He has also held senior governance roles, including Responsible Officer, Independent Director and Compliance Committee Member.
Michael is a sports tragic who supports Carlton Football Club and enjoys walking trails, golf, cycling and travel.
